If Tacori were Bella's Engagement Ring...

With the premiere of the first Eclipse trailer on today’s Oprah Show, the world finally got a glimpse of the hugely anticipated third film in The Twilight Saga. And perhaps more importantly for all the Twi-hard romantics who have cheered for Team Edward, the sparkling engagement ring that Edward presents to Bella was also revealed.

As described in the book, the ring is: “Nestled into the black satin, Elizabeth Masen’s ring sparkled in the dim light. The face was a long oval, set with slanting rows of glittering round stones. The band was gold — delicate and narrow. The gold made a fragile web around the diamonds.” - Eclipse, Stephenie Meyer

Meyer’s lush description sounds irrestistably “Edward”ian, with the perfect heirloom flair.

After seeing the ring used in the filming, we were inspired to search our design archives for a Tacori ring for Bella. And although untraditional in a standard sense, we think this vintage style from Tacori’s crescent silhouette collection looks more like Bella's engagement ring that was described in the book, compared to what we saw in the Eclipse trailer.

The gold band is delicate enough for Bella’s dainty fingers, and the golden diamond web has enough character to be a special ring that was handed down for generations.

And although this ring may be not be a “traditional” engagement ring because of its long oval face, we think that Edward and Bella’s untraditional relationship is the perfect showcase for a unconventional ring to be worn.
