It takes both exquisite artistry and precise science to create a Tacori design. Each Tacori design that is handcrafted in California is a completely unique piece, individually shaped by dozens of hands and countless hours. Encompassing the most high-tech methods as well as the human touch of hand-craftsmanship, this process is alchemic in nature, and the end result is enchantingly priceless.
It all starts with a sketch. A design is envisioned by our Head Designer, and his sketch is transformed into a three-dimensional model through the use of a Computer Aided Design (CAD) program. Hours are spent perfecting the design from 360 degrees to ensure structural and architectural integrity and beauty from every angle.
This unique 3D image is then used to create a unique 3D mold. This model is used during intricate casting processes and specific firing techniques to cast the design in platinum, gold or silver.
After the liquified precious metal has been propel-injected into the mold and transformed into a unique design, a goldsmith then takes the piece and perfects the exterior of the metal and our signature crescent details. The design is then sent to the polishers, who add shine and luster through hand-machine polishing.
While the goldsmiths are shaping and polishing the piece, our diamond and gemstone team is hand-selecting the appropriately matched stones in order for them to be perfect in shape, color, clarity and proportion. Some of our designs require more than 100 diamonds, which will each be individually hand-selected and hand-set in order to ensure the highest level of quality.
From there, the design and its accompanying gemstones are passed to a team of gemstone setters, each of whom are uniquely specialized in their craft through years of apprenticeship and mastery.
After the design has been cast, polished, set and finished, the piece receives a final buffing, bringing the piece to showroom quality.
As you can see, every facet of these dramatically beautiful pieces reflects the passion of the Tacori family for creating beautiful heirlooms to be treasured for generations. This extra attention to detail, personal craftsmanship, and stunning beauty, which transforms each Tacori design into a unique work of art, is known as the Tacori Touch.
