Roots
Gilda Bailian and Haig Tacorian, co-founders of TACORI, are born in Romania. Gilda is born to Harry Bailian, a jeweler who was ordered by the Communist regime to turn over all precious metals. When he’s found making gold wedding rings for a family friend, Harry is arrested and imprisoned for a year.
Birth
Gilda and Haig meet in 1972 in California. They join her father to create B&T a jewelry company specializing in vintage designs.
In 1979, Gilda and Haig, now married start their own company in Downtown LA: TACORI is born.
